This Sunday, a collective of associations and residents of the Busserine district, in the 14th arrondissement of Marseille, is calling for a rally
"against racism and
Islamophobia
"
, fifteen days after the discovery of a racist tag on the walls of the city's mosque.
Monday January 29, the inscription
“Encule sala Arabs”
was discovered by the president of the Arrahma mosque, who immediately filed a complaint against X.
“We were extremely shocked by this inscription,”
reports Anne-Marie Tagawa, member of the board of directors of the Agora de la Busserine social center and the Busserine Watch group at the origin of this event.
We've never had that in the neighborhood, where all the religious communities have always worked together.
At one time, the Sainte-Claire chapel even had a place of worship for Muslims in a room.”

The discovery of these inscriptions provoked the indignation of local elected officials from all sides, from the mayor of Marseille Benoît Payan to the president of the Aix-Marseille Provence metropolis or even the president of the Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur region, Renaud Muselier .
