A man was arrested and placed in police custody after the stabbing murder of an asylum seeker in Montigny-les-Metz (Moselle), we learned on Sunday from the Metz prosecutor's office.
“An individual was found dead in a home around 5:00 a.m. this (Sunday) morning. “He is an asylum seeker of Pakistani nationality
,” said the prosecution, confirming information from the Lorraine Republican.
“An individual was arrested not far from the home around twenty minutes later and taken into custody on suspicion of murder
,” continued the same source.
The victim suffered several stab wounds.
An autopsy must be conducted in the coming days.
