This includes theft, fraud, damage to property, bodily harm, drug offenses and other crimes (e.g. murder, rape, illegal possession of weapons).

The Swabian metropolis secured ninth place in the ranking.
The Federal Criminal Police Office recorded exactly 8,259 crimes per 100,000 inhabitants in 2022.
This corresponds to a total of 51,722 cases, explains Allianz Direct Insurance.
Although a weapons ban zone was even introduced in some areas of Stuttgart city center at the beginning of 2022, the state capital fell two places down in the ranking.
Last year (2021), Stuttgart was ranked seventh among the ten safest cities in Germany.

The safest city in the Federal Republic is the Bavarian capital Munich - the metropolis has taken first place for the fifth time in a row.
Munich only records 5,824 criminal offenses per 100,000 inhabitants (a total of 86,649).
The Hessian city of Frankfurt am Main, on the other hand, receives the inglorious title of the most dangerous city in the country.
Here the police counted 109,047 crimes, which is 14,363 per 100,000 inhabitants.
A significant increase of almost 14 percent compared to the previous year 2021.
Although there is no risky city in Baden-Württemberg, there is a street that, according to an evaluation, is one of the most dangerous in Germany.
