A driver veers off the road on a motorway near the border triangle between Thuringia, Lower Saxony and Hesse.
His injuries lead to the worst.
Arenshausen/Friedland - A 57-year-old man was thrown out of his car in an accident on a motorway near the border triangle of Thuringia, Lower Saxony and Hesse and died.
For reasons that are still unclear, the man hit the central barrier with his car and then slid the car up an adjacent hill.
The car overturned and the driver was thrown out, the police said on Sunday.
The man died from his serious injuries.
The accident occurred on Sunday morning on the A38 between the Arenshausen junction in Thuringia and Friedland in Lower Saxony.
The highway was closed for rescue work.
