Three injured, damage of over 40,000 euros and a kilometer-long traffic jam: This is the result of a serious accident on Saturday (February 10th) between Schlehdorf and Kochel.

Kochel/Schlehdorf - The accident occurred on Saturday around 11 a.m. on state road 2062 between Schlehdorf and Kochel.

Due to the heavy excursion traffic, there was a backlog of around two kilometers in the direction of Kochel.

According to the police, an 82-year-old man from Munich recognized the end of the traffic jam outside the city too late.

The man crashed his Mini violently into the rear of the Seat that was already standing in front of him, driven by a 45-year-old man from Wieseth.

The impact was so violent that the Seat hit the Nissan in front of it, driven by a 67-year-old man from Freiberg.

The three vehicles involved in the accident had to be towed away.

The 82-year-old man who caused the accident from Munich was slightly to moderately injured.

All three drivers were taken to the Murnau accident clinic in ambulances.

Their vehicles had to be towed.

Road closed, backlog for kilometers

Most of the state road had to be closed while the accident was being investigated.

This created a kilometer-long backlog all the way to Schlehdorf.

The Kochel fire department was on site with four emergency vehicles and 23 personnel.

Three ambulances and an emergency doctor were also deployed.
