A new energy cooperative in Wolfratshausen wants to create photovoltaics on house roofs.

The Wolfratshauser energy cooperative is in the starting blocks.
The initiators, environmentalists of “Wor for Future”, are still looking for suitable roof areas for photovoltaics.
Wolfratshausen – There are enough interested parties and technical options too.
Like Dr.
Jan Reiners recently explained in the “Costa Smeralda” restaurant in the Isar-Loisach Stadium that there is a new initiative in the city.
Together with some colleagues, Reiners is aiming for an energy cooperative.
Energy cooperative for Wolfratshausen: Environmentalists are looking for roof areas for photovoltaics
He presented the basic idea at the meeting of climate protectors from “Wor for Future”: cooperative members put together money for a solar system, a company that does not use its roof space itself makes the space available and receives a lease from the cooperative.
Then electricity is generated and the project becomes a win-win model.
At least that's the plan.
However, this is still highly theoretical.
Because so far there is one main problem: the energy cooperative does not yet have a roof in sight for “energy sharing” (Reiners).
In the recent past, some members of the group have held initial discussions with building owners.
Stefan Butzko wrote to some businesses on Hans-Urmiller-Ring.
The response: manageable.
As Hans Gärtner noted, large facades would also be suitable for solar energy - like that of the XXXLutz furniture store, with which Butzko had already contacted.

The response so far has been manageable – the alliance is in contact with the city
Reiners advocated keeping our eyes open.
Roofs with an area of over 150 square meters would be considered.
“We would like to start with photovoltaics on simple roofs,” writes Reiners in an information flyer.
The initiative was able to win over the Fünfseenland energy cooperative (EGF) as a partner - an experienced association with over 700 members that has been implementing similar participation projects for over ten years.
“We are not reinventing this: We want to found Citizens’ Energy Wolfratshausen within the EGF,” explained Reiners.
One advantage of the idea is financial: the trade tax benefits the city of Wolfratshausen.
Speaking of which: the alliance is also in contact with the municipality.
“We are thinking about multiple roofs,” says Reiners.
As the city council's environmental officer, Dr.
Hans Schmidt explained that there were initial discussions about the roof of the fire station at Hatzplatz.
A result is still pending.
A request to the district clinic resulted in a rejection.
Reiners emphasized that the focus of cooperative models is not on maximizing profits, but on sustainability and the energy transition.
