Faster, higher, further, bigger.
This is not important at the Gernlindner carnival procession.
“It should be fun for everyone” – that is the slogan, according to Christian Kemether from the Gernlindner local cartel.
This wish came true for the 75th carnival parade.

- According to the organizers, around 2,500 spectators gathered around the community center to celebrate loudly but peacefully.
However, they didn't have much to admire: only seven cars and six groups of pedestrians paraded through the streets.
“We clearly notice that the train is taking place in Moorenweis at the same time,” Kemether had to admit.
Gernlinden has to face this competition every few years.
The local boys brought a local topic with them: They demanded the Kingdom of Gernlinden.
Otherwise, people tend to pay more attention to federal politics: “Once the country is ruined, it unabashedly governs itself as clowns,” proclaims the Gernlinden cellar club.
The Frisch Auf Graßlfing shooting club wrote a similar text: “Even the animals are getting too colorful, the government is ruining us.”
The thematic highlight of the cars was the Gernlinden fire department, which lovingly and smugly took care of the national football team.
“Eleven whistles on the field, only one European Championship hero is missing.”
“Don’t worry, be Hippie” is written on the front of this car.

Splashes of color came from the foot groups.
The group from the Brother Konrad parish took on “altar native medicine” using a play on words and knew how to attract attention with an oversized inhaler.
The Gernlinden forest shooters addressed the railway strikes, while the women's carnival was on the move with its ostrich policy.
In the end, Kemether was satisfied: “It was a nice family carnival procession.” The local cartel was even able to rely on the active support of the local administration: Mayor Hans Seidl had joined the eager helpers who were among the spectators with the collection box.
For some participants from Gernlinden there will be a reunion on Shrove Tuesday in Olching.
Some of the Gernlinden organizers will also be there: you can relax and watch.
