The attempt failed.
Two hooded men were surprised in the corridor of a building where an elected official from the municipal majority resides, in Haÿ-les-Roses, during the night from Saturday to Sunday.
Hearing a noise behind the door, the two suspected burglars immediately fled.
“We have no idea of a person who was particularly targeted,” specifies the Créteil public prosecutor’s office which is following this case closely.
After midnight, the municipal councilor reportedly heard noises in the hallway.
A simple look through the peephole confirms his doubts.
Two men, their faces hidden under hoods, are on his landing.
A few knocks on the door were enough to scare away the two suspected burglars.

Once the door is opened, the chosen one no longer sees anyone.
The two men immediately fled.
No signs of break-in were found on his door, nor on that of his neighbors, in the corridor of the building.
No links with the attack on Vincent Jeanbrun
The municipal councilor dialed 17. “There were no burglaries,” specifies a source close to the case.
The investigation was entrusted to the local police station.
This new case seems to have no link with the previous one, but the violence of the car-ramming attack of which the mayor (Free!) Vincent Jeanbrun was the victim last summer nevertheless left traces in the town.
On the night of July 1 to 2, a burning car was thrown at the elected official's home.
He was on the ground at the time of the incident, busy managing the riots linked to the death of Nahel which then emerged in the country, but his wife and their children were indeed present in their home.
