The saying goes that luck is crazy, but in the case of Christopher Mills, a man living in Winterville, North Carolina, gambling happiness has knocked on his door twice.
Last Wednesday, February 7, Mills once again celebrated winning a lottery prize, after receiving the sum of $200,000 after purchasing the winning ticket, the state Education Lottery said in a statement.
What is surprising is that Mills
had already received a $100,000 prize
after purchasing a ticket at a gas station more than two years ago, in December 2021.
The first prize was obtained in a “scratch-off” game from the Winter Winnings game.
The most recent loot came from the Multiply the Cash raffle, in which more than 47 million people participated.

This time, after paying state and federal taxes, Mills
went home with $143,000
.
“I was surprised when I received an email [with the news that I had won], and I was very happy,” Milles told lottery officials.

“I can't believe lightning strikes twice in the same place,” he said.
When he first won the lottery, Mills said he was going to use the money to pay for his twin sons' master's degrees.
Now that they have graduated,
their goal is to continue paying for their education
