There is always speculation about Joe Biden's mental state.

There are now questions about Donald Trump's health ahead of the 2024 US elections.

Washington – The election campaign for the 2024 US election has dragged on for months, with countless appearances lined up one after the other.

It is therefore obvious that this can be exhausting for politicians.

For this reason, former US President Donald Trump, who wants to seal his return to the White House in this year's election, the health conditions of his competitors is a constant reason for verbal attacks.

Now Trump himself is in the spotlight because of his health.

It's about linguistic slip-ups and insecure appearances.

Trump's health is causing speculation: the US election campaign is getting rougher

There has been numerous speculation about Donald Trump's health for months.

Although the Republican emphasizes on all possible occasions that he is clearly physically superior to Joe Biden, age also leaves its mark on Trump.

A number of posts of Trump's speeches are circulating on

Among other things, the recordings were shared by an account that runs the election campaign for Joe Biden.

Defaming Joe Biden as a senile old man has always been part of Trump's election campaign strategy.

The Republican regularly emphasizes that the US President is actually far too old and cognitively unsuitable for another term in office.

Support for these claims is currently provided by a report by special counsel Robert Hur, who stated in his 338-page paper that Biden's memory is significantly impaired and that he has difficulty remembering basic and important facts.

Campaign for the 2024 US election: Trump uses special report to attack Joe Biden

For Donald Trump, the report's findings were an opportunity to distinguish himself and damage Joe Biden's election campaign.

But as

Newsweek

writes, it is not just the incumbent US president who is conspicuous for intellectual errors, but also his predecessor and possible successor.

In recent months, Trump has, among other things, referred to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán as the leader of Turkey or suggested that former President Barack Obama was still in office.

Observers recently counted seven moments in which he confused Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama.

Trump's pronunciation is also said to be slurred again and again and the former president mumbles to himself during live appearances.

It is unclear what Trump's health is actually doing.

Only last year, however, his personal doctor published a summary that certified the former president's “excellent” condition.

Biden versus Trump: A duel is expected in the 2024 US election

The mental fitness of Trump and Biden seems to be a large part of the debate in the US election campaign.

Observers are already assuming that both opponents could face each other in the final race for the White House seat.

Political scientist Cathryn Clüver Ashbrook recently told

Deutschlandfunk

that the current discussions about Joe Biden's health could give Trump a boost.

He would continue to chant his radical slogans and rally his Republican supporters behind him.

Other “obstacles” also seem to give Donald Trump more impetus in the US election campaign.

Because of various lawsuits, the Republican is repeatedly in the public eye and he even manages to exploit defeats and fines for his own benefit.

The US Supreme Court has recently shown skepticism about excluding former US President Donald Trump from the highest office in the state.

The 77-year-old had previously appealed to the court to overturn a ruling from the state of Colorado that disqualified him from running in the 2021 primary because of his role in the 2021 attack on the US Capitol.

Questions about Trump's health: MAGA remains Republican ahead of the 2024 US election

It remains to be seen whether Donald Trump will be able to use the discussions about his health to his own ends in the coming weeks.

When questions arose in January about an injury to Trump's hand, the former president initially remained silent and then ridiculed the speculation.

It is already clear that many supporters of the MAGA movement continue to stick by their idol despite serious questions about Trump's health - and it can be assumed that this will continue to be the case.
