Moscow appears to have banned sex parties following the "almost naked" party scandal, whose organizers are facing a lawsuit.

A recent warning issued by the mayor's office in the Russian capital confirmed that companies cannot host "sex-related" parties.

The message was published on the Telegram channel Kinky Party, where the community of people interested in such events is active.

The message reads: "Although our events have always been legal and intended to create a safe and respectful environment for freedom of expression, we have received a warning that any event related to sexual issues is prohibited."

A party planned to take place in Moscow on February 17 was canceled as a result.

"At this time, we do not know if the new rules are temporary or permanent," the organizers wrote.

"We will get back to you as soon as we think of some alternative ways in which we can give you an atmosphere of celebration and freedom."

At the same time, they added that they will continue to hold events in Georgia.

According to the project's website, their kinky parties are "parties that promote positive sexuality with a theme, dress code, great music and a rich show."

Since 2016, the people behind the project claim, it has been "helping people explore their boundaries, fantasies and sexuality."

The ruling of the Russian Supreme Court in November to ban the "international LGBT movement" led to repression not only against media outlets and declared events of the LGBT community, but also against events related to sex in general.

Such was the "almost naked" party that stirred up the country, held by blogger and TV host Nastya Ivleeva in December.

The party was later declared by a Moscow court to be aimed at promoting "non-traditional sexual relationships".

The organizer of the party, 32-year-old Nastya Ivleeva, an influencer, TV host, socialite and former editor-in-chief of Playboy Russia - admitted that the event was "completely inappropriate" against the background of Russia's war in Ukraine.

At the hedonistic party she bragged about wearing diamonds and emeralds worth $200,000 on her back.

Against the background of the backlash, she hastened to take down posts she had published in the past against the war and says now: "I'm sorry that it happened and that it was impossible to control it."

Attendees at the 'almost nude' event were forced to publicly apologize for 'immoral behaviour', while the host is reportedly facing a billion-ruble (£8.8m) lawsuit. The Kremlin has ordered a string of celebs who attended the party to apologize to the public after attending the wild party in Moscow , where the police arrived and shut down the incident.

Many believe participants face fines, jail time or official excommunication if they do not express deep remorse for the two-day event held on December 20-21 at the Mutabor nightclub, which invitees reportedly paid $11,000 to enter.

Russian sources claimed that during the party, nude images were projected on the walls and same-sex couples kissed - before citizens reported the party to authorities and accused the attendees of violating Russia's draconian laws banning LGBT activity and not adhering to "traditional values".

A class action lawsuit filed against them means they could Now to be fined huge sums - up to 8.5 million dollars - that were promised to be sent to support the fighters of Ukraine.
