Codacons, request to Agcom on televoting
''The final ranking of the 2024 Sanremo Festival comes to the attention of Agcom, and Rai will have to provide all the data regarding the votes expressed by the public through televoting and those of the individual members of the press room and radio juries'' .
This was stated by Codacons, which announced a request to the Communications Authority, Rai and Mimit.
''We will not go into the merits of the final ranking of the festival and the positions occupied by the first 5 artists in the competition, but following the numerous protests from viewers we ask for clarity on what happened yesterday during the singing event - explains Codacons - In fact, they would have technical problems and disservices occurred during the final stages of the Festival, with thousands of users who, despite trying to send their preference by telephone, did not receive confirmation that the vote had been collected by the system.
Given the enormous expense incurred by citizens to televote their favorite artist from home, it is necessary to guarantee maximum clarity and transparency, in the interests of all parties involved, starting with artists and Rai.
For this reason, Codacons is today presenting a request for access to Rai aimed at obtaining all the data on the votes of Sanremo 2024: those expressed by the individual members of the press room and radio juries;
valid votes collected through televoting;
those invalidated and the related reason, and data regarding any votes cast by the public from home and not collected by the system due to technical problems.
The association also asks Agcom and Mimit to intervene to guarantee full transparency in favor of users and verify the correctness of all voting operations during the Festival final''.
