Tonight the 2023 NFL
season ends
with the most anticipated game of the year, the famous
Super Bowl
that in this edition will have the
Kansas City Chiefs
facing the
San Francisco 49ers
at the imposing Allegiant Stadium in
Las Vegas
(ESPN broadcasts from 8:30 p.m. hours).
It is the most popular sport in the US and in Argentina there is not only a league (Argentine American Football) but also a National Team and a coach,
César Liatti
.
In the country,
two modalities are played
:
the equipped one
, the most "similar" to the NFL, where the players are with shoulder pads and helmets, and
the
flag
football
, which does not have the traditional clothing or tackles or collisions, but rather
to cut As the player advances, a handkerchief tied around his waist must be removed
.
This last modality was accepted by the International Olympic Committee and will be in the Los Angeles 2028 Games. The national teams have the same name: they are
Los Halcones
.
The coach of Los Halcones in
flag football
is
Cesar Liatti,
he has held that position since 2013 and in August he will play in the
World Cup in Finland
.
Liatti is one of the
most respected people within the small but passionate American football environment
in
Argentina
and spoke with Clarín to leave his analysis and his feeling for tonight's game in "Sin City."
"The Chiefs have two different players like Mahomes and Kelce, they also have a solid defense: they relied on that to be able to reach the Super Bowl
," explains Liatti, although he quickly clarifies that San Francisco reaches the final more solid.
For him, logic indicated that
the Baltimore Ravens should be in the clash against the 49ers
but
the Ravens
lost their American Conference final 17 to 10 against
Mahomes and company
.
San Francisco, for its part, won the National Championship after beating the
Detroit Lions
in a heart-stopping game 34 to 31.
Liatti believes that although
the game is going to be very close,
his candidate is San Francisco:
"They have a superb offense with McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, Aiyuk and Kittle as
tight ends;
they are the most complete and, in addition, they have a defense "super solid with one of the best
line backer
bodies, "
he says with the terminology of a sport that is advancing in the world and will arrive in Brazil in September.
For César, the defense of the Bay team is the best in the league.

On the Kansas side, Liatti considers that "they are better defensively than other years and that evens things out," but on offense they have two extraordinary players who always make a difference, like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
"Mahomes is a star and with nothing he is doing wonders because he reached a Super Bowl without receivers," highlights the
Los Halcones
head coach .
Superstar
Travis Kelce
has become much more relevant in the media due to his relationship with the singer
Taylor Swift
.
This exposure, according to Liatti, benefits the Chiefs tight end rather than harming him: "when Taylor Swift is in the stadium, that's when he has his best games," he says.
This season, Kelce maintained a regular level during the regular season and exploded in the postseason, like the rest of Andy Reid's team.
On the 49ers side, César highlights the great year that quarterback Brock Purdy is having, news in the NFL for having been chosen in the last place in the Draft: "He is having an excellent second year, his numbers are very good and "He's in better company than Mahomes."

The
Kansas City Chiefs
are led by
Andy Reid
and are considered a hero in sports.

Kyle Shanahan
is the coach of the
49ers
and Liatti highlights the offensive profile that he demonstrates game by game: "He is from one of these groups of new coaches with a lot of experience because he has been working in important coaching staffs over the last 10 years and "There is a clear offensive profile."

He was previously with the
Atlanta Falcons
, in offensive coordination, and
in 2016 his team scored the most points (540)
, taking them to Super Bowl LI.
However, his team fell to
Tom Brady
's powerful
New England Patriots
, who turned from 3-28 to take it 34-28, staging one of the most iconic comebacks in history.
The two teams will try to lift the
Vince Lombardi
trophy although, for Liatti,
San Francisco has everything to win
and should go out to look for a favorable result from the beginning, but
neither of the two coaches are going to go out and speculate
in the last game of the year.

Kansas City Chiefs
running back started as the second running back and beat out
Clyde Edwards-Helaire
for the job .
As the attention of rivals will be on
Mahomes
and
Kelce
, Liatti believes that
Pacheco can take advantage and could be a revelation player in the Super Bowl
.
Is Las Vegas here to stay?
Liatti believes so: "It is a city that is made for the show, I think that after Miami it is one of the best venues for a Super Bowl."
This will be the first time in history that it will be played in Nevada City.
