On the road, danger can have many faces.
On July 16, 2023, it was in the guise of Théo M., 26 years old, a school principal living in Oissery, in Seine-et-Marne, that he appeared, costing the life of a father of two children aged 38.
Difficult to believe at first, looking this Monday morning at the face surrounded by small glasses of Théo M., who does not have the profile of a traffic offender.
But in the early morning of this day in the summer of 2023, the wise school principal celebrated with friends in Paris, with massive alcohol consumption.
“I drank a mojito, wine and a digestive at the restaurant, then the equivalent of six Ricards in the bars,” recounts the young man in court.

Despite this very drunken evening, Théo M. makes the disastrous decision to return by car in the early morning.
It was around 5 o'clock on the A1, in the Paris-Lille direction, when his driving caught another motorist's attention. "He was not driving straight and was zig-zagging", this driver later indicated.
The alcoholic teacher has already missed the exit that would have brought him home, in Seine-et-Marne, when he probably dozed off at the wheel.
He hit the central reservation near Thiers-sur-Thève then another car in which a woman was slightly injured, before stopping further away.
