Threats, mobbing, intimidation, but also sexist vulgarity towards female workers: an unbreathable climate in the Theater of Rome according to the accusations of the workers of the Capitoline Foundation which ended up in the newspapers.
The president of the Teatro di Roma Francesco Siciliano wants to see clearly and has launched an internal audit to shed light on what has been reported by workers and unions.
"I have convened the Supervisory Body of the Theater of Rome for tomorrow - he tells ANSA - to verify and evaluate the situation within the structure, after the articles published in the media in recent days. It is an initiative - adds - which as president of the Teatro di Roma Foundation I assume to protect and guarantee the Foundation and all those who work there".
From what emerged from a Fanpage investigation a few days ago, in fact, among the entertainment workers of the Teatro di Roma - which manages Argentina, India, Torlonia and soon also Valle - there is a very heavy atmosphere made of insults, threats, blackmail and sexism.
So much so that it even pushed the Democratic Party of the Chamber to announce a question to the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano.
Also because this situation, say the Dems, "seems to be determined by the attitude of Libersind, an autonomous right-wing union that organizes the entire sector of the so-called stage".
The Sicilian president therefore expressed his desire to dispel any doubts: "I intend - he still explains today - to submit to the Body and to the Board of Directors itself the possibility of supporting a law firm of primary importance in this work so that an audit can be carried out serious and thorough that third-party ascertains the facts".
The case of the alleged mobbing at the Teatro di Roma comes after the political controversy over the governance of the Foundation.
