Young to old on the dance floor: Officially, 941 party guests celebrated at the athletes' ball.

As if they had never been away: the partygoers, some of them dressed in original costumes, have reclaimed the Amperhalle as a carnival stronghold.
Emmering - The Emmering Football Club (FCE) held its athletes' ball there, which has been organized for over four decades - one of the largest carnival events in the district.
For four years we had to take a break or celebrate on a small scale.
The comeback was therefore completely sold out.
Which meant that exactly 941 party guests - that's how many tickets were allowed to be issued in accordance with official requirements - populated the dance floor.
Seat desired
Rudi Fuchs had already gotten the tickets for his clique in advance.
Nevertheless, the Emmeringer was at the front of the queue when he entered at 7.30 p.m.
His reasoning: “At our age, you need a seat that might not be available later.”
In fact, the FCE organizers had forgone a few beer bench sets in favor of more bar tables.
But the seat flesh was hardly stressed.
The Munich band “Isarsix” got everyone dancing at their district premiere.
The musicians will come to the region again in October: to the wine festival in Überacker.
The really big rush started around 9.30 p.m. when the young people started dancing.
After seven hours, when Bruck's DJ Levant replaced the party band, it was 3 a.m. in the morning.
Motorhome parked in front of the Amperhalle
Hans Shower and Hildegard Hild had the shortest way home.
Although their house was only 800 meters away, they had parked their motorhome at the Amperhalle and spent the few hours there until sunrise.
As has been the case for 17 years, Meinrad Wensauer and his Emmeringer security service were on duty at the sports ball.
His eight-person team (including a specially trained paramedic) had their hands full, especially with admission control - all visitors were searched for forbidden or dangerous items.
The security service had to escort two aggressive women out of the party hall early after they became violent towards their male partners - who were then allowed to continue partying alone.
Wensauer's trained security paramedic Christian Reisert also had to take three other women to a makeshift sobering-up camp.
