One person died and five others were injured after a fight that ended in a shooting Monday afternoon at a subway station in the Bronx, New York, authorities reported.
Police said gunshots were reported shortly before 5:00 p.m. ET at the subway station between Mt. Eden Avenue and Jerome Avenue and that the people
involved in the altercation were believed to be teenagers. .
So far there are no arrests and the attacker is still at large, indicated the local NBC News station in New York.
In its account on the social network X, the city's Police Department asked the population to avoid the area due to "an active police investigation."
The identity of the injured and the reasons for the attack are unknown.
A man in his 30s is the fatal victim, according to The Associated Press news agency.
