ARD “Tatort” against ProSieben’s “Who is stealing my show?”: Who had the viewers on their side at prime time on Sunday evening?
A broadcast could reach more people by a wide margin.
Göttingen – The “Tatort” is still very popular today and regularly gives ARD top ratings.
The last episode of the Göttingen investigator duo Lindholm (Maria Furtwängler, 57) and Schmitz (Florence Kasumba, 47) was broadcast on Sunday evening (February 11, 2024).
At the same time, the new season of the quiz show “Who is stealing my show?” started on ProSieben with Joko Winterscheidt (45) as presenter.

ARD vs. ProSieben: “Tatort” from Göttingen is the clear ratings winner
The Munich “Tatort” on February 4, 2024 competed in the ratings duel against the RTL jungle camp countdown and emerged as the clear winner in the end.
This time too there is a clear winner in the TV ratings heaven.

, “Tatort: Ghost Ride” reached a total audience of 8.17 million people and achieved a market share of 27.2 percent.
This placed ARD at the top of the ratings list.
Joko Winterscheidt's "Who's Stealing the Show?" only reached 2.06 million people in the category and a market share of 8.4 percent - despite the opening episode of the new season.

In 1970, the first episode of Tatort flickered across German TV screens.
Today the crime series has achieved cult status and some German celebrities also took the opportunity to take part in the crime scene.
Joshua Kimmich (29) played a fitness trainer in “Tatort: Hackl” in 2023.
Udo Lindenberg (77) played himself in “Tatort: Everything Comes Back” in 2021. In 2016, Helene Fischer (39) portrayed a Ukrainian criminal in “The Great Pain”. And Schlager colleague Roland Kaiser (71) was in “Tatort: Hum, hum, hum” in 2013 as pop star Roman König.
“Tatort” wins in both categories against “Who steals the show from me?”
Even in the relevant target group (14 to 49 year olds), the ProSieben show had to rank behind the Göttingen crime thriller.
1.42 million people tuned in for “Who is stealing my show?” (24.1 percent), whereas 1.47 million (20.2 percent) watched “Tatort”.
However, Joko Winterscheidt secured more market share with his celebrity quiz.

As you can see: “Tatort” fans are loyal followers who tune in again and again and make the ratings skyrocket – even if everything isn’t going well on the public broadcaster.
During the broadcast of “Tatort: Zerissen” (January 21, 2024), ARD viewers had to follow the Stuttgart investigation for minutes without a sound track.
