Its author, passed out in the wild for many months, was finally identified, arrested and sentenced to prison a few days ago, indicated the public prosecutor of Marseille, Nicolas Bessone.

The facts date back to March 26, 2023. The suspect attacked a villa in the town of Roquevaire, in Bouches-du-Rhône.

An investigation was then opened and entrusted to the Aubagne gendarmerie research brigade, which quickly identified a suspect, whose DNA was found at the scene of the burglary.

The suspect was first apprehended on January 20 in Marseille, stopped by the police while he was driving without a driving license and under the influence of narcotics.

Gendarmerie investigators then discovered that the man was residing in the Marseille city and therefore arrested him on February 7.

Placed in police custody and brought before the Marseille public prosecutor's office, the man was tried two days later by the criminal court as part of an immediate appearance hearing.

He was sentenced to 36 months' imprisonment, of which 18 months were suspended and with a probationary period of two years, for all the acts of break-in and attempted break-in with which he was accused.
