The British Foreign Minister, David Cameron, announced today (Monday) that Britain is imposing sanctions on four extremist Israeli settlers, who violated the human rights of Palestinian communities in the West Bank.
The new sanctions will be imposed on extremist Israeli settlers who have violently attacked Palestinians in the West Bank.
The sanctions include economic and travel restrictions, and are intended to combat the ongoing settler violence that threatens stability in the West Bank.
The British Foreign Minister pledged "to hold accountable those who undermine the prospects for peace".

In the past year, the violence of extremist settlers in the West Bank has reached an unprecedented level.
Some of the residents of the illegal Israeli outposts and settlements used violence, harassment and threats to pressure Palestinian communities to leave their lands.
Two of those who will be sanctioned today - Moshe Sharvit and Yeynon Levy - have physically harmed people in recent months, threatened families at gunpoint, and vandalized property as part of a calculated and targeted effort designed to displace Palestinian communities.
One of the illegal outposts, established by Zvi Bar Yosef, was described by Palestinian residents of the area as "a focus of systematic intimidation and violence."
The measures taken today will impose strict economic restrictions as well as strict travel restrictions on those who carry out these actions.
These sanctions follow the British Foreign Minister's announcement last December that Britain plans to ban those responsible for settler violence from entering its territory and to ensure that the country cannot serve as a home for those who commit such unacceptable acts.
