Reichersbeuern is preparing its big carnival parade in 2025.

This year the start will be celebrated with a morning pint.

Tölz protagonists should also take part.

Reichersbeuern

– While the climax of Carnival 2024 is being reached everywhere these days, the people of Reichersbeuern are already looking a year ahead.

Because after ten years it will be that time again in 2025: the “MuaFaz” – the “mother of all carnival parades” – will take place again.

The date is March 2, 2025.

The goal is to “take” Bad Tölz

The start will be celebrated this Sunday.

According to Klaus Hochwind from the committee, the carnival breakfast takes place every year.

“But this time it’s bigger.” That’s because “the Tölz protagonists are also invited.”

The aim of the Reichersbeur carnival procession is traditionally to “take” Bad Tölz.

The course of the “MuaFaz” runs from Reichersbeuern via Greiling to Bad Tölz on Marktstrasse.

The exact route has not yet been determined

The specific plans, such as safety guidelines or the exact route, have not yet been determined.

However, Hochwind estimates that the experiences from 2015 can be built on.

At that time there were 40 cars and 200 sign sellers on the road.

“That was a good bunch.” He therefore hopes that in the new edition everything will work as it did in 2015.

The constellation meeting is on April 20th

In any case, the people of Reichersbeur are already hot.

“There were a few cars and groups that already wanted to register.

They’re really excited about it.” But this isn’t possible until the end of April.

The assembly meeting at which the new committee will be determined is on April 20th.

This is always elected for ten years.

Last time, Hochwind was head of the committee, and the majority of those involved will probably continue, he says.

“Someone will definitely be found again.” From that date onwards, concrete plans will be made.

You also have to talk to various authorities and the TÜV.

“We're actually starting from scratch again, but basically it's nothing new for us.” We're also looking for sign and newspaper sellers - mostly women, as traditionally only men are allowed to ride on the wagons.

Everyone should be involved early enough, says Hochwind.

Tölz's mayor has an appointment on his calendar

Nine years ago, the then mayor Josef Janker was a target for many Reichersbeur groups.

He had just gone on vacation for the carnival parade.

“That was of course a through ball and it worked well,” says Hochwind with a laugh.

This time it will be different.

He is already in contact with Ingo Mehner.

“He already said he was coming.

The appointment is big on his calendar.”

“It’s going to be great fun”

The fact that the Reichersbeur carnival procession only takes place every ten years goes back to its origins in a Haberfeld event from the second half of the 19th century.

“After the war, people adjusted to this rhythm.” It has proven successful.

“The effort is not insignificant.” Like in 2015, for example, when an entire pirate ship invaded Tölz.

If the train took place more often, it would no longer be what it is.

“The euphoria wouldn’t be there.” Now the anticipation is growing in the village and a dynamic of its own is developing.

That’s why Klaus Hochwind is sure: “It’s going to be great fun.”
