On the day of the Hamas attack on October 7, 63-year-old Clara Marman was kidnapped along with her partner Louis Har from her home in Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak in the Gaza Strip.
Along with them, her brother Fernando and her sister Gabriela Leimberg were kidnapped along with her daughter Mia.
On November 28, in the fifth stroke of the hostage deal, Gabriela, Mia and Clara were released while Fernando and Luis remained captive to Hamas.
One of the memorable photos from the release from captivity was of 17-year-old Mia with her beloved dog Bella.

"They managed to keep her, they gave her some of their food. It wasn't easy, but the concern for the dog kept them and their survival there," said Lavala!
So a kind of Siegal-Korn, Gabriela's niece.
At first Hamas didn't understand that it was a dog, they thought it was a doll and that's why she got there.
According to what they say, Mia was wearing a nightgown because the attack woke her up from her sleep, held the dog in her hands throughout the kidnapping and hugged her.
So whoever took them thought it was a girl in a nightgown holding a doll of a dog to sleep with.
Only at a later stage, after a few hours, she moved a little in her hands and then suddenly they realized that it was a dog.
An argument broke out there, what to do with her, and in the end they managed to keep her.
This is Mia's dog, and Mia gets very determined when it comes to her.
The dog ate the little they ate, they secreted for her from the portions they received.
She was already taken care of at the hospital.
Like they got doctors - she got a vet.
Ten thousand treatment, they made her cuckoos."

Since the release from captivity, the Leimberg-Merman family has been fighting together with the families of the abductees for the return of all the abductees from captivity.
"We said goodbye to Luis and Fernando before we moved here. We said goodbye, with a hug, 'in two or three days we will meet' we said, 'see you soon'. So it wasn't dramatic on the outside, but it was very, very difficult for us," said Clara Merman in the days after her release from captivity .
"To know that another day passes and they have no idea what is happening in Israel, like mine was not. I was received in Israel with a lot of support and hugs, and they wrapped me up very well, but they don't know if there are even efforts to bring them back, if they have forgotten them. The biggest concern Mine is that they will break mentally."
