A 20-year-old man, living in Combs-la-Ville, was sentenced to 105 hours of community service on Thursday by the Melun criminal court.
Tried in immediate appearance for his participation in the urban violence which engulfed the country following the death of young Nahel in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) at the beginning of last summer, he was arrested this Tuesday at his home.
The result of long-term work, particularly in terms of exploitation of video surveillance and telephony, carried out by investigators from the Melun - Moissy-Cramayel urban police station.
The police also took his half-brother into custody.
He was also tried at the same time, but was released to everyone's surprise.
Another, aged 18 but a minor at the time of the events, was in turn arrested the following day, Wednesday, at his home in Vaires-sur-Marne.
He was presented to a children's judge at the Meaux court to be tried at a later date.
In the meantime, he has been placed under judicial supervision.
Damage estimated at 194,000 euros
On the night of June 29 to 30, 2023, the three boys broke into the municipal police station of Combs-la-Ville.
They committed multiple acts of damage there, including setting fire to a vehicle.
The damage was still estimated at 194,000 euros!
But against all expectations during their trial, when the public prosecutor had requested two years of imprisonment against him, the elder of the two half-brothers, aged 28 and the main accused in this case, was therefore released.
The prosecution appealed this decision.
For comparison, for the attack on the Melun municipal police station at the same time, a 19-year-old received a year in prison in the same court last month, for much less damage: 1,500 euros.
More than a thousand times less.
But a big difference, of course, there had been a confrontation with the police...
