Marko Dukic is the new landlord at the Ottenhofen sports restaurant.
In the “M Grill Bar” he also serves specialties from his homeland.
Ottenhofen – New life in the sports restaurant: Marko Dukic serves Croatian and Bavarian delicacies in his “M Grill Bar” in the DJK Ottenhofen clubhouse.
The 27-year-old took the plunge into self-employment - despite the difficult times in the catering industry.
The young founder focuses on home-style cooking at fair prices.
The trained chef worked to refine his down-to-earth dishes.
Dukic offers Cevapcici made from veal, which he makes according to his own secret recipe.
He also makes the patties for his hamburgers himself, also from veal.
There is stuffed calamari with ham and cheese as well as Bavarian sausage salad or snack boards.
Since Dukic does everything himself and doesn't have any staff yet, he can calculate accordingly.
“But the DJKers support me wherever they can.
“I’m very, very grateful,” he emphasizes.
All dishes are also available to take away - as are the Croatian wines.
Once his grill bar has established itself and demand is correspondingly high, he is considering offering food for delivery.
Dukic wants to bring a breath of fresh air with his grill bar.
A carnival party has already taken place in the sports center.
And since February 14th is Ash Wednesday and Valentine's Day, Dukic is planning fish creations and little surprises for the ladies.
The hall offers space for up to 80 people, and larger parties can also celebrate here.
Dukic will take care of your physical well-being at the DJK's home games in the future.
The native Croatian has everything on offer, from sandwiches to coffee and sweets.
There is a barbecue in summer and the beer garden is great when the weather is nice.
“I’ll come up with something for the European Championships,” he announces.
And if there is a meeting between Germany and Croatia, there will be something very special.
But first he is planning an opening party.
“When it gets warmer, I will do that,” says the young man, who is open to new ideas.
Dukic completed his training as a chef in his home country of Croatia.
He came to Germany nine years ago.
He worked in a hotel in Munich-Riem for six years and got to know the entire culinary spectrum there.
He settled in Markt Schwaben.
“This is my second home now,” he says happily.
But he found his footballing home at the DJK.
“I can train with you on Tuesdays.
“I really enjoy it,” says goalkeeper Dukic.
So if there is a need for a man in the district class team's goal, the DJK players can count on their host between the posts.
The “M Grill Bar” sports restaurant in Ottenhofen is open Wednesday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
It is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
