The local council has approved a budget that is probably unique for the municipality of Eitting.

The asset budget, which lists the municipality's investments, has a volume of 43.5 million euros.

For comparison: in 2023 it was just 1.45 million euros.

Eitting – The main reason is the purchase of the area known as Autohof Gaden (we reported).

But the implementation of the construction areas such as Kettererweg and “Westlich Kinderhaus Eitting” as well as the construction of the new children's house also play a major role.

Mayor Reinhard Huber wants to put his municipality on a sustainable footing.

But these projects cost money.

Ten million euros for the children's home

The cost estimate for the children's home is ten million euros.

The construction is expected to be completed in August 2026. In order to be able to look after all of the community's small citizens, the containers will remain.

The rent has been extended.

This year Eitting is investing 45,000 euros for this, plus the remaining budget expenditure from last year of 63,000 euros.

The plans for the new building will cost around 300,000 euros this year.

The lion's share of five million euros is included in the financial planning for the coming year.

Kettererweg construction area

Town hall boss Huber also wants to tackle the Kettererweg development area.

The wish is for it to be supplied by the local heating pipeline.

As soon as the direction of the Schlachter family takes over, it should be tackled.

The civil engineering work for the “Westlich Kinderhaus Eitting” construction area is estimated at 250,000 euros.

300,000 euros are earmarked for spending on bridge construction.

31 million euros for land sales

Treasurer Georg Neudecker has put a total of 22 million euros into the property budget for property purchases.

Various land sales in various areas are then expected to bring 31 million euros into the municipal coffers.

A playground is to be built in the Gaden-Mitte development area this year.

Construction was originally scheduled for next year.

But since 17 children and their parents have already moved in here, work will start this year.

For the first time, 30,000 euros are earmarked for play equipment etc.

Big plus for income tax

The administrative budget, which includes the income and expenses of regular business operations, has a volume of 6.6 million euros.

In terms of income, there is a significant increase in the municipal share of income tax compared to the previous year.

While the estimate in 2023 was 2.29 million euros, CFO Neudecker now expects 2.50 million euros.

Trade tax revenue is estimated at 1.7 million euros.

On the debit side, the district levy amounts to a good 2.6 million euros.

The VG levy amounts to 830,400 euros.

The transfer from the administrative budget to the asset budget amounts to 150,300 euros.

Meanwhile, the assessment rates remain unchanged.

300 percent are still due for property taxes A and B, and 350 percent are due for trade tax.

The local council unanimously approved the record budget.
