A 57-year-old man lost his life in a domestic accident involving a chainsaw on Saturday February 10, in Plougastel-Daoulas (Finistère), according to information reported by

The accident happened while he was working chopping wood at home.
Despite the rapid intervention of the firefighters, they were unfortunately unable to save his life.

He played an active role within the Plougastel Football Club, notably coaching many youngsters within the B team. In addition, he also played as a midfielder for Étoile Saint-Guénolé, of which he subsequently became secretary.
Paul Mallejac was married to Claire Mallejac, also very involved in community life.
She held the position of deputy for MP Richard Ferrand from 2012 to 2017 and was head of the list in the municipal elections of 2008 and 2014 in Plougastel-Daoulas.
She also served as an opposition municipal councilor until 2017.
