VfL Kaufering starts the relegation battle, TSV Landsberg can relax thanks to a strike by their friendly opponent Neuried.

And VfL Denklingen can finally record their first win of the year.

District - State football league team VfL Kaufering is warming up for the relegation battle in the state league.

Fourth preparatory game, fourth victory – that is the balance of the team around player-coach Sebastian Bonfert after the 4-2 win on Saturday against district league basement child ASV Habach.

VfL had previously won 2-1 against 1860-U19 and Bayernliga club Gundelfingen and 3-1 against Jahn Landsberg.

The man of the lunchtime (kick-off was at 11 a.m.) was a player who had not made a big impact so far (eight appearances in the first team, including seven substitute appearances, five with two goals in the second team): Jonas Wille (30), The former Penzinger took advantage of the chance he got as a center forward, as Thommy Hasche was missing due to a strain, as well as carnival fans Felix Mailänder and Niki Neuhaus, who were attending the carnival in Cologne.

“Jommel” scored three times: he scored the first three goals (25th, 48th and 52nd minute).

Max Muha made it 4-0 with a penalty (55') before the guests got within 4-2.

Uli Stengelmair, VfL's sporting director, was not completely satisfied despite win number four: "We still had a lot of good chances and should have won by more." Since regular goalkeeper and captain Michael Wölfl was suspended for two friendly games after his red card against Jahn Landsberg , both Marco Dzwonik and Tobias Kaiser from the second team were allowed to play in the VfL box.

Stengelmair explains: “After the departure of Lasse Holthuis, our previous number two, to Jahn Landsberg, the two of them will also take turns as substitute keepers in the league games.”

Returnee Bonfert played in defensive midfield this time after three appearances in the back four.

Stengelmair: “What the bonus does is important.

He is calm on the ball and organizes the team.”

VfL's next test: Swabian district league team SV Mering comes to Kaufering on Saturday at 1.15 p.m.

TSV Landsberg is off

The planned preparatory game between Bayern league team TSV Landsberg and district league team TSV Neuried was canceled due to the players' strike at the Würmtal team.

The coaches Sascha Mölders and Mike Hutterer gave the players a free weekend instead of another test match.

TSV's next test, which starts the 2024 round on February 24th in Kottern: on Wednesday, February 14th, at 7:30 p.m. at state league table leaders TSV Grünwald.

Another personnel statement from TSV: Goalkeeper Abdoulaye Gueye (20), who terminated his contract in Landsberg, where he played seven league games, during the winter break, has found a new club.

The 1.99 meter giant will guard the goal of the traditional club FC Wacker Innsbruck in the future.

The successor club to the multiple Austrian champions FC Tirol is currently leader of the Tyrolean League, the fourth highest division in Austria, after the license was revoked in 2022, and was coached by 1860 idol Daniel Bierofka in 2020/21.

With Abdoulaye Gueye in goal, the Green-Whites want to secure promotion to the regional league.

3:1 for Denklingen

District league team VfL Denklingen celebrated its first win of 2024 after two draws (1-1 against Holzkirchen and Garmisch). In the 3-1 win against Swabian district league team SpVgg Langerringen, striker Simon “Simba” Ried scored twice, goal number three was scored by Dominik Karg .

“Deserved victory,” said coach Markus Ansorge.

The next test for Denklinger is next Saturday (3 p.m.) when the district league team plays against SV Egg an der Günz on their own pitch.

The preparatory game between FT Jahn Landsberg and SpVgg Lagerlechfeld was canceled.

Reason: Landsberg lack of players on Carnival Sunday.

Coach Armin Sanktjohanser didn't think it was funny at all.

Jahn will now test against district league team SVO Germaringen in Denklingen on Sunday at 3 p.m.
