Russia's invasion of Poland or Latvia is "absolutely impossible," Putin explains in the Carlson interview.

Experts classify the statements as unbelievable.

Moscow – On Thursday evening, an explosive interview was shown during prime time in the USA.

The 127-minute conversation, for which the ultra-conservative former Fox News host Tucker Carlson traveled to Moscow, turned to Putin's propaganda program in which he put attacks on NATO areas "completely out of the question."

“Attack absolutely impossible”: German Russia expert exposes Putin lie after interview

In the conversation in which Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in detail to a US interviewer for the first time since the start of the war in Ukraine, the Kremlin leader ruled out a Russian attack on Poland or Latvia: “We have no interest in Poland, Latvia or somewhere else,” Putin explained.

“Why would we do that?

We simply have no interest in it.” A Russian attack on the countries is “absolutely impossible,” the dictator told Tucker Carlson.

When conspiracy theorist Carlson, who was fired from Fox News last year, asks the Russian president whether there could be a scenario in which “they send Russian soldiers to Poland,” Putin replies: “Only in one case: if Poland sends Russia attacks.” A statement that puts experts on alert.

“Ukraine was also a defense case”: Russia experts alarmed by Putin’s statements

On Friday (February 9th) the renowned Russia expert Dr.

Janis Kluge from the Science and Politics Foundation in Berlin summarized Putin's statements on X, formerly Twitter: “Putin: I would only send soldiers in the event of defense.

Putin also: The invasion of Ukraine was a case of defense.”

Experts expose Putin's lack of credibility - and see parallels to Ukraine statements

Political advisor Johannes Hillje writes: “December 2021: 'We will not attack Ukraine'.

February 2024: 'We will not attack Poland and Latvia'".

A clear reference to Putin's proven incorrect statements before the start of the war of aggression on Ukraine.

The Russian invasion followed two months later.

Tucker Carlson staged Putin interview as a media event in which the “truth” comes to light

The 54-year-old Carlson had been touting the interview for days as a major media event in which the “truth would finally come out.”

Putin has not yet been heard, people know nothing about the background to the conflict in Ukraine or his goals, the “corrupt” media has only conducted interviews with Volodymyr Zelensky and has never attempted to interview the Russian head of state.

Curiously, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, of all people, corrected: “Mr. Carlson is wrong,” Peskov explained during his daily briefing for journalists.

“We receive many requests for interviews with the president.” However, these were rejected because of “one-sidedness.”

Tucker Carlson now got the nod.
