"Our love, today we will talk about you, about how you were torn from life, about how with all your strength you sought the truth, at the cost of your splendid life".

Giulia Tramontano's mother, Loredana, wrote this on Instagram on the day of the second hearing in the trial of Alessandro Impagnatiello, accused of killing her girlfriend, who was seven months pregnant with her, in Senago in the Milan area.

"You will always be our immensely Giulia and Thiago our angel. We will fight for you to the end", adds her mother.

"Giulia will give us nothing of her back - writes her father Franco Tramontano again on Instagram -, we shouted out loud, we will do it again so that justice is done for her and Thiago".

Meanwhile in the courtroom, a Carabinieri marshal is reconstructing the dramatic day of the murder and the following ones until the discovery of the lifeless body of the young woman, also showing photos and slides and lining up the lies of Impagnatiello, who is in a " cage" to attend the hearing, and at times cries.

Witness, Impagnatiello looked for 'chloroform' while waiting for Giulia

On 5 February last year, while he was at Malpensa airport waiting for Giulia who was returning from Naples, Alessandro Impagnatiello was researching "chloroform" on his smartphone, which was purchased via the internet under a false name a few days later and then found in the cellar.

This is a detail that emerged during the deposition of a Carabinieri marshal heard this morning in the courtroom at the trial on the murder of Giulia Tramontano, the woman killed in the seventh month of pregnancy by Impagnatiello, her boyfriend.

The investigator, in his reconstruction, explained that the man, between December 2022 and January and May 2023, as shown by the analysis of his phone, had searched for "pregnant rat poison", "pregnant rat poison" and "man rat poison".

The witness explained the research on January 7 last year as "fundamental": he "displayed a page" regarding "how much rat poison" was needed "to kill a person".

The results of the autopsy on Giulia and Thiago, he recalled, gave a positive result for rat poison.
