The event

, around 7 p.m., on 6100 Presidente Perón Street, between Garzón and Magallanes, in an open ditch belonging to the Provincial Energy Company (EPE).

Workers from that company had opened a trench on the sidewalk to repair part of the neighborhood service.

The young man, identified by the police as Ezequiel Francisco A., went into the well with the intention of stealing cables, but

received an electric shock that caused serious burns.

After a neighborhood call, agents from Police Station 32 of Regional Unit II of Rosario arrived at the scene, as well as an outpatient medical service unit.

The video filmed by a neighbor, which went viral, shows the young man minutes after his electrocution.

He staggers out, in a clear state of shock and with his body almost completely blackened.

After said electric shock and the arrival of the medical service, he had to be referred for care to the Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital (Heca).

," said Laura Taljame, deputy director of the hospital center.

In a conversation with Cadena 3, the doctor explained that due to his condition "he was admitted to the intensive care room," and expressed concern about his state of health, which he described as "very critical."

His brother, a 34-year-old man and an accomplice in the robbery, was unharmed and was detained by the Police at Police Station 19.
