A number of ICE trains are canceled on Monday morning (February 12th).
The route between Frankfurt and Stuttgart is affected, says Deutsche Bahn.
Mannheim – This time it is not a strike or a storm, but rather metal theft that is slowing down ICE trains.
The theft was discovered on the morning of February 12th, said Deutsche Bahn (DB).
“Due to vandalism damage at Mannheim-Waldhof, the route between Frankfurt (M) and Mannheim is affected,” it says on the DB website.

The problem is expected to be resolved by Monday evening (February 12).
Further details are initially unknown.
The DB expected delays and partial cancellations in long-distance and regional transport.
The following long-distance connections are affected:
All ICE trains between Frankfurt and Stuttgart are canceled in both directions.
Individual ICE trains on the NRW – Frankfurt(M) Airport – Mannheim – Stuttgart – Munich route are canceled.
ICE trains have to be rerouted on the route between Frankfurt and Mannheim.
The DB expects delays of around 20 minutes as a result.
Travelers are asked to inform themselves before their journey.
At the beginning of February there were disruptions on the railway line between Cologne and Frankfurt am Main due to metal theft.
Trains were canceled completely or were sometimes delayed by up to 90 minutes.
