At the carnival parade in Indersdorf, two young men attacked police officers.

Another tried to get a service weapon.

Indersdorf - The police had to intervene several times at the carnival procession in Indersdorf, as they announced in their press report on Monday.

8,000 visitors took part in the parade and carnival activities, which the police described as “typical for events of this type and size”.

24-year-old puts up considerable resistance

At around 2:40 p.m., a 24-year-old from Dachau physically attacked his partner on the market square.

The police officers who were called tried to separate the parties.

The 24-year-old offered considerable resistance to this, so that he had to be brought to the ground and tied up using direct force.

An acquaintance of the couple - a 25-year-old from the Erding district - was also aggressive, which is why he was initially banned from the event, according to the police.

When he did not comply despite repeated requests, he was to be taken into custody.

During the course of his arrest, he kicked and punched the officers and tried to snatch the service weapon from one of them.

This could be prevented by using direct coercion.

A police officer was slightly injured by a kick.

Continually threatening and insulting the officers

Both men also continually threatened and insulted the officers deployed.

They were significantly under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

According to the police, extensive criminal proceedings were initiated against the men, who were already known to the police in many cases, including for bodily harm, physical attack on and resistance to law enforcement officers, as well as insults and threats.

A blood sample was taken from both of them.

The 24-year-old was temporarily arrested.

He will be brought before a judge later today to clarify the detention issue.

The 25-year-old repeatedly expressed suicidal thoughts during the operation.

Because of this, he was taken to a clinic.

There he ended up spitting on several police officers and hospital staff.

In addition, there were further assaults involving drunken event participants.

Those involved remained slightly injured.

At the end of the event, several category 2 fireworks were fired from a property in the Mathias-Hudler-Weg area.
