The rock continues to be secured along the B11 between Walchensee and Wallgau.
The work starts on Monday (February 19th) and lasts until Friday (March 8th).
This means traffic disruptions on the federal highway.
Walchensee - The rock stabilization work on the B11 in the Walchensee area, between Walchensee and Wallgau, has been going on for some time.
However, they had to be ended early in autumn 2023 due to the winter weather.
Now it continues on Monday (February 19th).
However, the work can only be carried out with partial closure, according to the Weilheim State Building Authority.
This will be set up in the area for a period of three weeks - from February 19th until probably Friday (March 8th).
During the construction work there will be temporary restrictions on parking in the construction site area.
Traffic lights regulate traffic at the construction site - full closures of a maximum of 15 minutes are also possible
Traffic will be guided past the construction site using traffic lights.
According to the state building authority, the closure will be lifted on weekends from Friday evening to Monday morning.
For critical work, short-term full closures with maximum closure times of 15 minutes cannot be ruled out in individual cases, it goes on to say. During this time, the construction site lights for both directions of travel will be set to “red” to prevent road users from passing.
Traffic light operation will then resume with green phases.
