Cologne – Carnival 2024 is heading towards its climax – the Rose Monday procession.
And this year hundreds of thousands are expected again along the migration routes.
There is dancing, singing, swaying and tons of camels are thrown from ceremoniously decorated wagons.
The good news: After the rainy start to the street carnival on Weiberfastnacht, according to current forecasts, it should remain mostly dry on Rose Monday in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Rose Monday procession in Cologne 2024 – the most important information
The Rose Monday procession in the Cologne Carnival starts on February 12th at 10 a.m. on Severinstrasse.
Then the front of the train starts moving.
It goes right through the city, past Cologne Cathedral and Cologne Central Station, to the finish on Mohrenstraße.
The migration route ends there this year.
While the train alone with all the cars and companies is around 7.5 kilometers long, the route is 8.5 kilometers long.

Rose Monday procession in Düsseldorf 2024 – information at a glance
The Rose Monday procession in Düsseldorf is expected to begin at 12:24 p.m., around two and a half hours after the parade in Cologne.
The train begins on Corneliusstrasse in the Bilk district and runs, among other places, through Königsallee and the old town to its destination on Elisabethstrasse.

Rose Monday parades on TV – who is broadcasting from Cologne and Düsseldorf?
