The federal police from Rosenheim picked up ten migrants outside Bayrischzell who were apparently dropped off by a smuggler.
Investigations are now underway against him.
Bayrischzell
– The federal police picked up a group of ten migrants shortly before Bayrischzell last Friday.
According to initial findings, the police say the Syrians were dropped off behind the border by a smuggler and left behind.
A witness became aware of the group and alerted the police.
The Rosenheim Federal Police patrol, which was notified, found the migrants, including six children, on the road just before Bayrischzell.
None of the people could identify themselves;
However, the police speak of a father who fought as a soldier in Syria and later fled with his family.
Request for protection made - police are investigating smugglers
The officers took the migrants to the office in Rosenheim, where they were cared for.
After the necessary police measures, a 16-year-old was entrusted to the care of the youth welfare office.
“The father with his family and a mother with her two children were sent to a reception center for refugees after requests for protection were made,” the police said.
The investigation against the smuggler is ongoing.

Just a few weeks ago, the police stopped two suspected smugglers at Tegernsee.
The two Turks were accused of smuggling a total of nine Syrian migrants into Germany via the Achen Pass.
Last fall, the Kreuth border police warned that the Achen Pass could become an alternative route.
And: “The smugglers are becoming more and more criminal,” explained station manager Martin Messerschmidt to our newspaper.
