The main leaders of Unión por la Patria remain
secretive, almost silent
, waiting for the future of Javier Milei's government, with the aim of
not remaining the stokers
of an eventual deepening of the crisis.
From the outset they had confirmed the rejection of the omnibus bill, with the left, so the failure of the ruling party in the vote in particular was also attributed to the rest of the so-called dialogue opposition.
Nor will they choose to be involved in the internal party, less than three months after the electoral defeat and with the proclaimed objective of "preserving unity", although in Buenos Aires Peronism a silent
dispute began to take shape between a group of mayors and La Cámpora , with a challenge to Máximo Kirchner
, head of the provincial PJ.
In the main district of the country, Jorge Ferraresi chained a series of movements that left a scenario of incipient arm wrestling.
The mayor of Avellaneda
abandoned the vice presidency of the Instituto Patria a few weeks ago
- he was replaced by the ultra-kirchnerist Pablo Zurro, from Pehuajó -,
he broke the official bloc of the camper Julián Alvarez, in Lanús
, and appeared with opposition leaders to Mayra Mendoza in Quilmes.
He also made public a meeting with Juan Zabaleta, defeated in Hurlingham and critical of the organization led by Máximo.
“
Many mayors are working together and close to Axel, even before the elections
,” they sought to tone down the saga around Ferraresi, and referred to the harmony with other communal leaders such as Juan José Mussi (Berazategui), Julio Alak ( La Plata), Andrés Watson (Varela) and Julio Zamora (Tigre).
References from that sector promote the leadership of Axel Kicillof, although the governor distances himself from the disputes and concentrates on management, pressured by the cut in transfers from the Nation to the Province.
“If Axel understands that he has to lead it is easier, if you don't have to put together everything that is loose
,” said one of the leaders determined to advance the dispute with La Cámpora: “
Máximo at this moment has no authority in the PJ, you cannot call a meeting of mayors.
We have to take advantage of that .
”
Among the “loose” they include Fernando Gray, the communal leader of Esteban Echeverría, already facing Kirchnerism and whose lawsuit by the Buenos Aires PJ reached the Court.
The governor avoids confrontation
Kicillof seeks to stay out of these bids and for the moment
prioritizes the meetings of the multi-sectoral call
- the first meeting in City Bell was followed by another at the UPCN campsite in La Plata -, with representatives from
union sectors, SMEs, industrialists, organizations social and cultural
.
“That's something that flourished. In PBA we are the ruling party, we cannot be the resistance, Axel has to pay salaries. But Milei brought him into the ring, and it was so brutal that she had no choice
," they transmitted from the side of the Buenos Aires president, in tension with Máximo and at the same time referenced in Cristina Kirchner.
“Unity must be privileged
,” they said in La Plata in the face of the next few uncertain months in economic and social terms.
On the Cámpora side, in addition to Julián Alvarez and Mayra Mendoza, there are mayors Damián Selci (Hurlingham), Federico Otermín (Lomas), Juan Ustarroz (Mercedes), Maximiliano Wesner (Olavarría) and Federico Susbielles (Bahía Blanca), among others.
“
They are isolated events, we do not give them significance.
Political movements and opinions are respectable, but the PJ process is going to take place within the framework of institutions.
It will be seen in due course,” Ferraresi's gestures were dismissed from that sector.
The tension with the mayor of Avellaneda started when he was a member of the national Cabinet and promoted the re-election of Alberto Fernández.
From the Camporista municipalities they also remembered that he defended the agreement with the IMF.
The
bill passes
are mutual: Máximo is accused of having operated against Kicillof's re-election in the province.
The governor will not be able to run for four years, although that is a long way off.
Cristina Kirchner will make her move later and so will Sergio Massa, in silence until the presentation of her book.
The renewal of the party authorities will also take time, beyond the nuisance that Alberto Fernández implies at the head of the national PJ, with stays in Spain.
“And it's not Perón
,” ironically said a leader who responds to Kicillof.
The former president hinted that he would be willing to resign, with one condition:
“Let Máximo do it too.”
