The Venezuelan Government strongly rejected that the Emtrasur Cargo company plane, which had been detained in Ezeiza by court order since June 2022, has been delivered to the United States due to a claim by that country's justice system.
"The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the
blatant theft
of the Boeing 747-300 aircraft, acronym YV 3531, belonging to the Aerocargos del Sur Transport Company (EMTRASUR SA), completed today after
the collusion between the governments of the United States of America and the Republic of Argentina
," said the Government of President Nicolás Maduro in a statement published by Foreign Minister Yvan Gil in his account on X.
The Bolivarian Government accused its counterparts in Argentina and the United States of having
"deviously violated (...) all the rules that regulate civil aviation"
and having put "aeronautical safety in the region at risk."

Venezuela described as a
"shameful operation of rapacity"
the transfer of the plane to the United States, whose justice had requested its confiscation for alleged uses for terrorist purposes after the Bolivarian Government purchased it from the Iranian company Maham Air.
