Winter is long overdue in France.
After a slight drop at the start of the week, temperatures will start to rise again in France in the coming days.
France will thus experience positive temperature anomalies (deviations from seasonal norms) for the week of February 12 to 19, according to forecasts from the European model, cited by Ouest-France.
Over the entire week, temperatures will be on average 3 to 6°C higher than climatic normals (calculated over the period 1991-2020), notes the daily.
“Subtropical air”
“The Weather Channel thus predicts that the climate will be mild “everywhere throughout the week”, with temperatures “always above seasonal norms”.
“Subtropical air” will arrive in France on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing “spring-like temperatures again, between 15 and 18°C from north to south, with maximums around 20 to 24°C south of the Garonne until in Roussillon,” indicates the forecaster on his site.
However, the good weather will not always be there, with showers expected in the northern half, particularly Wednesday and Friday, observes Ouest-France.
This mildness could then continue in the coming weeks, continues the Météo Chaîne, which specifies that “no winter offensive” is planned for the moment.
“In France, temperatures warmer than normal are favored,” Météo France also anticipates for the period from February to April.
