The apartment in the Nuga complex in Jaffa, which is approximately 90 square meters, is located in the building where the legendary recruitment bureau of Tel Aviv-Jaffa used to operate, which in 2013 underwent a residential zoning change. As part of the zoning change, the exterior walls of the building were preserved, while the interior of the building was rebuilt. The apartment was renovated For a family that moved to it from a spacious penthouse, therefore its redesign included multiple storage solutions and maximum utilization of the floor space, so that most of its spaces are separated by means of functional interior partitions.

"I saw the plan for the apartment even before it was purchased by the customers and from that moment it was clear to me that I would require a different way of thinking, which would provide an optimal response to all needs through creative solutions in carpentry and other materials that would be reflected in their modularity," explains the designer Hagit Munitz, "from the first moment I realized that in this apartment every centimeter should be very calculated.

The process, which lasted for about three months, included the demolition of all the internal partitions, almost all the walls in the apartment were moved except for the walls of the wall, a renovation was made to all the infrastructures, all the flooring in the apartment was replaced and all the furniture and carpentry were planned accordingly."

For the flooring of the apartment, a light gray concrete shade tile with variable cloudiness from MODY was chosen that would lighten the look and convey a feeling that is not binding.

Also, all the panels in the apartment were invested in flooring in order to leave as much free floor space as possible.

The kitchen that was in the entrance hall to the apartment without any ventilation opening or window changed its location.

The designer decided to move it to the southwest part of the apartment facing the boulevard where the bedroom used to be, even though it had two windows and two air directions.

This change created an open space towards the west that allows you to enjoy a westerly breeze from the sea.

The kitchen was built in two parallel lines - a line of tall cabinets with a sink in the center, and a line of low cabinets on which the stove is placed and at the end a sitting counter with a lower cabinet.

When talking about practical ideas, the thought of both comes up immediately - and this is in order to maximize the work and storage areas in the kitchen.

This is how an oven was chosen which is also a microwave, and a water faucet for washing dishes which is also a modular water system for cold and hot filtered drinking water.

Naturally, it was true that the living room would be close to the kitchen and the balcony of the apartment, from one side of which you can even see the sea.

In order to maintain a clean and modern look, the designer chose furniture for the living room whose design is characterized by clean lines and which will not overload the space.

The TV wall is covered with Vega plaster with a polished look to give it an industrial urban look.

On the right side of the wall there were even two guitars used by the owner of the apartment who loves playing music.

Since it is not possible to put in a spacious and convenient dining area in the space of such an apartment, a console was chosen that opens up to a dining table of up to 4 meters and the folding chairs were stored under the counter in the kitchen.

Already at the beginning of the process, the apartment owners asked for a suitable place for a serious library full of such reading books.

That is why its location is determined in the entrance hall to the apartment.

And next to her was placed a comfortable armchair for reading.

The couple work quite a bit from home and also, an additional bedroom is needed for their daughter who lives in the desert and who comes to Israel sometimes or for every occasional guest.

This study had to be very bright but with the possibility of total darkness for sleeping.

For this, a smart glass wall was chosen which allows, by pressing a button on a remote control, to turn the glass opaque and opaque and to darken the room without the penetration of light.

The bedroom was designed to have a respectable space for a bathroom with a double shower and wardrobes and plenty of storage, so it was decided that the walls of the bathroom would be transparent, which would contribute to the feeling of a more spacious and pleasant space.

In order for the design to look minimalistic and harmonious but also functional, the solution found was cabinets with transparent glass doors followed by a deeper cabinet containing fixed shelves and in front of it mobile shelving systems with shelves on wheels, a solution that allows the full depth of the cabinet to be utilized.

For the bathroom, MODY chose bright tiles in a green shade size 5x25 and a stainless steel sink.

which complete the light and minimalist look.

The son's bedroom was designed with MMD, this was also one of the reasons why the couple chose to move to this MMD apartment.
