He will have to explain himself again in court.
On October 22, 2021, Laurent Rivoire, the former mayor (UDI) of Noisy-le-Sec (Seine-Saint-Denis), left the courtroom of the Bobigny judicial court with red eyes.
The elected official, prosecuted for the offense of favoritism, illegal taking of interests and influence peddling, had just been acquitted.
He was accused of acts allegedly committed between 2011 and 2015 as president of SAEM (mixed economy company) Noisy-le-Sec Habitat.
An HLM entity, of which the city is the majority shareholder and which manages some 2,200 housing units in the municipality.
“Our client has always maintained confidence in justice,” his lawyers declared at the end of the hearing.
This decision completely exonerates him and demonstrates that he never betrayed the Noiseans.
The court thus affirms that he always acted in the general interest and not in his personal interest.
