The Tölzer vocational school said farewell to 140 graduates, many of them from the Miesbach district.
A total of ten graduates were awarded a state prize.
Bad Tölz
– A “priceless key to your professional future, a key that no one can take away from you”: This is how Florian Dietz, the headmaster of the Bad Tölz vocational school, described the certificate that was presented to the graduates after mostly three and a half years of training in the Tölzer Kurhaus .
The school is also attended by many young people from the Miesbach district.
Around 140 former trainees achieved excellent results, some of them.
Ten of them were able to receive the so-called state prize with an average grade of 1.5 or better, including two young women with the dream grade of 1.0.
“Dignity, tolerance and respect”: Dietz appeals to graduates
The graduates were also given the right “equipment” for their future careers at the vocational school, said Dietz.
Above all, the cell phone as a symbol of limitless communication possibilities.
Above all, “you need real friends.”
The headmaster warned: “In the age of fake news, ChatGPT and influencers, handle this information critically.
Don't allow yourself to be manipulated.
Search for the truth and defend the truth as the highest good.”

The ability to solve new, tricky problems or to discuss socially competently with customers will also be important for the future.
The respective foundation of values is particularly important: “Don’t just make your decisions to the best of your knowledge, but also make them according to your conscience, which is characterized by dignity, tolerance and respect.” Even if you, as a young person, like to go along with it uses one's physical resources mercilessly: “Give yourself the necessary breaks to recover.
Because remember that you still have a long working life ahead of you.
So be careful with yourself,” Dietz advised the young people.
District administrator encourages participation in politics
The two student representatives Sarah Munteanu and Anika Schnätzinger then humorously looked back on their time at the vocational school.
Turning to their former classmates, they emphasized: “You have proven that you can finish something.”
Tölz district administrator Josef Niedermaier also appeared to present the state prizes.
He regretted that he was not able to win a state prize, mainly because of a bad grade in religion: “I skipped classes a few times and was probably mistaken when I thought that ten years as an altar boy was enough.” He praised him the dual training system: “You learned that it is important to look for solutions together.
This aspect has “brought peace, prosperity and freedom to society in recent years.” It is also important to get involved in politics with your existing life and professional experience.
