The Berlin Court of Appeal has for the first time confirmed the conviction of a climate activist for coercion following a road blockade.

This means that the conviction of a 62-year-old to a fine of 600 euros is legally binding, as a court spokeswoman announced on Tuesday.

Berlin - The member of the climate group Last Generation took part in a road blockade in Berlin-Spandau on February 11, 2022.

Some participants had stuck to the road, but not the now 62-year-old.

Nevertheless, the man was convicted for his involvement in the 20-minute blockade - rightly so, as the court decided in the third instance.
