Munich – It was THE celebrity separation in 2022: Mats Hummels (35) and his wife Cathy (36) divorced after seven years of marriage.
The celebrity couple was in a relationship for a total of 14 years.
The football professional and the influencer continue to look after the upbringing of their son Ludwig (5) together.
The stars have now been officially divorced for over a year.
Time to get involved with someone new?
Cathy Hummels on separation from Mats: “A divorce is never nice”
Cathy Hummels was asked a very personal question about love on Instagram.
“Do you want to get married again?” a follower wanted to know from her.
The “Battle of the Reality Stars” presenter then gave a clear answer.
"Never say 'never,'" she explained.
Despite the painful separation from ex-husband Mats Hummels, the Munich woman can imagine saying “yes” again.
However, she has now become much more cautious.
Cathy Hummels probably won't have a flash wedding of fun and frolic.
Only if she was absolutely sure would she step in front of the altar again.
“That would have to be someone who really blows me away because I'm divorced and divorce is never nice.
A wedding is nice, but a divorce is not,” she emphasized.
Cathy Hummels has doubts about eternal love
Since her failed marriage, the presenter has found it difficult to believe in a happy ending like in a fairy tale.
The past few years seem to have left their mark.
“I don’t know if I believe in eternal love either,” she admitted.
“I believe in love, friendship.
But about eternal love?
I don't know it."

Cathy Hummels, on the other hand, would “drop everything” for her friends.
Although she “doesn’t have many real friends, I love the ones I have more than anything.” The 36-year-old emphasized: “I’ll never let them go again.” Cathy Hummels also checks every contact with her son Ludwig very carefully.
