The German middle class sees itself threatened by AfD demands.

Green Party leader Nouripour even compares the destruction of value creation to the impact of an atomic bomb.

Berlin – A number of entrepreneurs see the demands of the AfD as endangering Germany as a business location.

This is the result of a new survey among managers of German medium-sized businesses and domestic associations.

Accordingly, the euro and migration policies of the far-right party in particular are seen as damaging to the domestic economy.

Entrepreneurs see AfD politics as an existential threat to the German economy

“If we allowed the right-wing unspeakable fantasies of deportation among our immigrant employees, then we would have to shut down 50 percent of production in our company,” warned entrepreneur Andreas Jäger when presenting the survey with a view to the Potsdam secret meeting.

A few weeks ago, politicians from the AfD, among others, spoke there about millions of people with a migration background being deported.

The head of the rubber and plastics company of the same name, Jäger from Hanover, with around 1,000 employees, is a member of the Green Economic Association, an association close to the party, which interviewed over 50 entrepreneurs for the survey.

Over 80 percent of those surveyed see the AfD's policies as a risk to attracting international skilled workers and future investments in Germany as a business location.

The AfD is calling for a massive reduction in immigration and an expansion of deportations.

But entrepreneur Jäger is also concerned about the people with a migrant background who are already working in his company and who would suffer from an AfD policy: “These colleagues belong to us.

Without them our prosperity cannot be maintained.”

Entrepreneurs warn: Without immigration to Germany, companies will migrate

Andreas Hettich, head of a furniture company in North Rhine-Westphalia, also sees populist slogans against migration as anti-business.

“In the long term, work goes where the skilled workers are – if we don’t have an immigration of workers, we will have an exodus of companies,” said Hettich, also a member of the business association.

In addition to migration policy, over 90 percent of those surveyed are particularly concerned about the move away from the euro, which the AfD openly communicated, for the German economy.

For Thomas Fischer, founder of the Green Party business association, cosmopolitanism is the core of German prosperity and competitiveness. This applies to the EU, as well as to the workforce in companies with different skin colors and countries of origin.

Green Party leader Nouripour compares AfD demands to an atomic bomb

Omid Nouripour, party leader of Alliance 90/The Greens and advisory board member of the business association, found drastic words for the economic consequences of the AfD's demands.

“I don't know of any other measure that destroys more added value - except perhaps a nuclear bomb.” Nouripour emphasized that the poor image of the traffic light coalition also contributes to the AfD's current high.

The party leader advocated political competition between centrist parties.

“No matter how stupid you think the Greens are, none of it justifies voting for the AfD,” said Nouripour.

The federal government must pull itself together and formulate the same goals.

It is true that it is not possible to present simple solutions to complex problems.

That's why politicians have to explain the complex solutions even better.
