A firecracker injured two children while playing in Munich.
How they came into possession of the explosive device is still unclear.
Munich – On Tuesday, February 13th, two children were injured while playing with fireworks in Munich/Ramersdorf.
As the Munich fire department reports, the eight-year-old boy and the 14-year-old girl suffered some serious burns and cuts and had to be taken to a special clinic.
Fireworks injure children – police investigate
According to initial information, the firecracker exploded in the children's hands while they were playing.
The boy in particular suffered serious burn injuries to his hands.
The Munich fire department was the first to arrive at the scene of the accident and provided initial care to the injured.
It is still unclear how the fireworks came into the children's possession.
The police are investigating.
