The Internal Ethics Committee of the Broadcasting Corporation has established framework rules for the appearance of commentators, panelists and anglers at the Public Broadcasting Corporation, provided that they are suspected of or related to crimes.

The decision binds all of the corporation's platforms.

According to the established rules, interviews with suspects, accused or convicted of serious violent crimes will be exceptional and rare.

The committee also determined that "as long as a journalist in the corporation thinks that there is a public interest in an interview of this kind, he must present the matter to the director of the division and his deputy, to the editor of the edition and the presenter, and in this context the reasons for the broadcast will be presented in light of the possible damages to the victims of the crimes and to the public in general. If it is decided that there is a place to hold an interview , the article will be presented to a senior forum in which the heads of the news system are members. After the approvals have been given, the interview will be able to be broadcast."

The discussion on the issue began following a request from the Success Association that asked to settle the fundamental issue following the broadcast of an interview on the evening news edition of Khan 11 with Aviad Moshe, who was convicted of the attempted murder of his wife Shira Isakov and her serious injury.

Following the interview, the internal ethics committee determined that "this is a moral failure" and outlined additional criteria that will form the basis for making decisions regarding interviews and/or participation of convicts or those against whom indictments are pending regularly in broadcasts in the roles of commentators, commentators and corners.

The committee further determined that the essential guiding test is the existence of a public interest in an interview or participation in a panel and that each case will be examined on its merits and in depth - including the context in which it was conducted - by the senior management in the news division and the decision will be in their hands.

"In any situation, those parties should not be allowed to abuse the media stage in order to take pride in their criminal acts and their dubious past, and prevent them from expressing any support for their criminal acts. If they do so, they should be prevented from doing so or their participation in the broadcast should be stopped," the committee stated.
