The Indian Sajid Thungal, 72, who
was believed to have died in an air disaster
decades ago, appeared alive in 2021 after
hiding
from his family
for 45 years
because he considered himself a failure, reported the
LadBible
portal .
Sajid left his home in Kottayam, India, in 1974 to work organizing events for Indian singers and dancers in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates,

In the crash of the Indian Airlines plane, all 95 passengers were presumed dead.
Two years later, while flying with a group of artists to Madras, his Indian Airlines flight with
95 people on board
crashed after one of its engines caught fire.
All passengers and crew were presumed dead.
However, Thungal survived but did not contact his family because
he felt guilty
for being a failure in life.
A whole life hidden
In 1982 he moved to Bombay, where he has lived since then.
"I thought I had to make a fortune first. When I didn't have success in the Persian Gulf, I decided I would try my luck in Bombay, and then I would get in touch with everyone. But it didn't work here either. And
so 45 years passed
," he said.
Four years ago he was in a terrible state and was taken to a
homeless
shelter .
The pastor who runs the establishment began searching for his relatives and sent a request to a mosque in Kottayam to check if his family still lived in the city,

The family was surprised that the man was alive.
Sajid's father had died long ago, but
his mother was still alive, now 91 years old.
The man was finally reunited with his relatives.
"I returned home. If the people there had not taken care of me, I would have died without being reunited with my family," he confessed.
