After a fall at a carnival event, an apparently drunk man is said to have insulted paramedics and hit them in the face.
Freiensteinau - During a carnival event in Freiensteinau (Vogelsbergkreis) between Fulda and Frankfurt, a man is said to have hit a paramedic in the face.
The man, who was apparently drunk, is said to have fallen at a party on Sunday for unknown reasons and sustained injuries, the police announced on Tuesday.
While paramedics tried to help him, the 29-year-old is said to have insulted them before throwing a punch.
The paramedic who was hit was slightly injured.
The man is also said to have repeatedly insulted the police who were subsequently called in.

The 29-year-old was taken to a clinic for treatment and reported for physically attacking law enforcement officers and similar people.
In Frankfurt, too, the police and fire brigade were deployed everywhere to protect visitors to carnival celebrations and parades.
