Amelie Deuritz and Alexander Genstorfer are currently experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions.

On Tuesday evening her reign as Amelie I. of the Prinzengarde and Alexander I. noble knight of Kronthaler Weiher comes to an end.

Erding - And now the feelings of exhaustion and melancholy flow together for the prince couple of Narrhalla Erding.

The last official event was the white sausage breakfast pint on Rose Monday, where Narhalla President Detlef Felixberger was able to welcome not only his own people but also sponsors at the Gasthof zur Post.

“We had a full program for four weeks now,” remembers the Princess.

“At first everything dragged on, and then it happened very quickly.” Genstorfer admits that the marathon of appointments “was quite demanding and you can already feel the exhaustion.

But on the other hand, we are sad that it is coming to an end."

Deuritz appreciates “that we were able to experience something that only happens once in a lifetime.”

She sees that as an honor.

Her first major appearance after the proclamation on November 11th was the gala ball on January 13th.

At that time, both of them had very different concerns.

Deuritz has been dancing in the Prinzengarde and Funkengarde for years and now also in the mixed guard.

“Of course I had fewer concerns about the waltz and the dances,” said the 24-year-old.

“I was really nervous about standing at the lectern.” With Genstorfer it was the other way around.

As a great double for Mayor Max Gotz, the 31-year-old already has a lot of experience as a speaker.

“I couldn’t dance a meter for that.” He must have been a docile student.

Speaking of learning.

The two have gained experiences for a lifetime.

Deuritz says: “At the beginning we were afraid of making mistakes because we didn’t know how people would react.

And then we noticed that little mistakes often go unnoticed.” The two of them don’t want to miss their time as the Narrhalla prince couple: “It was a really cool time,” says the prince.

And the princess adds: “I can only recommend that everyone take part in this adventure.

Dare you, it’s so much fun.”

Amelie I. and Alexander I will also be remembered by the Erdinger Fools as the family carnival prince couple.

The parents were there several times, Amelie's dad "actually at all of the performances, and we celebrate the departure in his workshop," says his daughter happily.

At the Order of the Heron, not only Martin and Gabi Genstorfer as well as Marion and Franz Deuritz sat in the front row of the town hall, but also Genstorfer's grandpa Alfred Reinhardt and grandma Rosi.

He also celebrated his 82nd birthday that evening.

And when his grandson awarded him the Narrhalla Order, he was visibly proud.

And the great-grandson Max, son of the prince, also received it in the Walpertskirchen kindergarten.

Last Friday alone the Narrhalla had to perform eight performances - the most strenuous day of the reign, but at the same time the most beautiful, as both assure.

Performing in schools and kindergartens, but also in homes and facilities for the disabled, was a pleasure because the audience was so happy.

Now it's back to everyday life, the princess becomes a student again, and the prince has to report to Lufthansa on Monday as usual.
