The 121 minutes of the first episode of
“Koh-Lanta, the immunity hunters”
quickly made it possible to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each person.
The twenty candidates starting the adventure have very different characters and complementary skills.
Amri, Sébastien, Aurélien and Océane for the Yellows as well as Émilie, Meïssa and Ricky for the Reds stood out as driving forces of their respective teams.

Arrival by truck
Traditionally, “Koh-Lanta” plays like Robinson Crusoe and begins with a shipwreck on the open sea with a long swim to the shore.
For this new season filmed in the Philippines, the production surprised the 20 candidates by transporting them in two trucks towards the east of the island of Luzon.
In the past, four other seasons of the adventure game began in this way, including the very first hosted by Denis Brogniart in 2002 in Costa Rica.
We had to go back to season 16, “Koh-Lanta, Treasure Island”, filmed in Cambodia in 2016 to find a similar introduction.

The Kadasi against the Matukad
The two starting teams were trained in advance by production to ensure the best possible balance.
As soon as they got off the trucks, the candidates discovered their distribution.
The Yellows, the Kadasi
: Léa, Alexis, Océane, Amri, Aurélien, Nathalie, Sarah, Sébastien, Pauline and Steve.
The Reds, the Matukads
: Mégane, Maxime, Jean, Julie, David, Alicia, Ricky, Émilie, Cécile and Meïssa.
The Yellow team won the very first comfort test from the outset.
The key is a construction kit with planks, ropes, nails and tools to build a solid cabin.
Alicia gets annoyed and annoyed
From the first minutes, the young 23-year-old business manager from Ain appeared very closed in the eyes of the other candidates.
“I am very frank, very tough and I almost never apologize.
The biggest challenge of my life is going to be people
,” she says in her portrait.
As soon as the teams were formed,

Nathalie's lie
Based on the principle that it is never good to be the oldest of the adventure, Nathalie has become a few years younger with her teammates.
“I'm not going to make them pass the psychological barrier of 50 years, I'm afraid they'll break down
,” confides with amusement the 55-year-old digital transition consultant who said she was... 48 years old.
Maxime's bananas
Among the fundamentals of “Koh-Lanta” since the creation of the game in 2001, the sharing of foodstuffs found in nature is an indisputable principle.
From the first minutes of exploring the Matukad camp area,
Maxime
found a bunch of bananas.
“I want to keep some for myself, you’re either a player or you’re not
,” explained the 43-year-old electrical engineer.
His bad intentions came to nothing as teammates quickly arrived to share his happy find.

Two medical interventions
David's turn from the first afternoon left us fearing the worst for a while.
But the strong 36-year-old Alsatian butcher-delicatessen has taken over.
Just before the first night,
Jean
called the “Koh-Lanta” doctor because of eye pain.
“I got a sort of sunburn on my eyes
,” explained the Norman carpenter who had to sleep with a protective bandage on his eyelids and a few drops of eye drops.
On the morning of the third day, it was the other carpenter in the cast,
Sébastien
, who sought the doctor for the same reason and spent the day with a bandage over his right eye.
Steve's Poisoned Immunity Necklace
The 34-year-old candidate made the mistake of too quickly revealing his strategic side to everyone.
The story of “Koh-Lanta” bears witness to this: the best strategists are those who know how to remain discreet so as not to arouse suspicion.
When he finds an immunity necklace whose power is to protect the two people of his choice at the next council, he chooses to show it to his team while trying to make people believe that it only protects him alone.
Too late, no one believed it...
The ten Kadasi candidates went to the council after their defeat at the end of the first immunity test.
If Nathalie received four votes against her (from Steve, Sarah, Sébastien and Amri), it was Steve's torch which was extinguished with six votes against him (from Alexis, Nathalie, Océane, Léa, Pauline and Aurélien) .
Allies, Amri, Aurélien, Sébastien, Océane, Sarah and Alexis distributed their votes for safety.

,” announced Denis Brogniart before a new test.
While the adventure has started for more than three days,

are called to join the game. It remains to be seen whether the two candidates will have this opportunity or only one of the two.
